Finding out about the world around us

Growing Places@Oak Meadow

Our nursery @ Oak Meadow is located in Fareham, within easy reach of local amenities. Surrounded by trees and open space, this setting is an ideal environment where the children learn and play.

The nursery is registered for 70 children aged from 6 months and has well equipped rooms which lead out to a safe, secure, enclosed garden which is accessible all day long. The children are encouraged to explore, create and set the scene for 'many adventures'!

As well as full day care and flexible sessions we have a breakfast club , after school care and holiday play schemes . We adjoin Oak Meadow Families and Childrens Centre where parents can access courses with creches, toddler groups and the toy library.

The centre opened in May 2003 and was initially supported by the New Opportunities Fund (NOF).

The nursery has well equipped rooms and gardens to explore the outside. We have our own cook who prepares delicious and nutritious meals every day and we cater for all kinds of special diets.

The out-of-school club is registered for 36 children and has its own bright, well equiped room with plenty of space for playing games, art and craft, reading or doing homework. Plenty of equipment and resources including computers, digital cameras, playstation etc. occupy the children along with organised games and activities with our dedicated staff.
