About our Nursery

Growing Places@Havant Academy was created in 1990 within the campus of The Havant Academy (formerly Staunton Park School), the nursery is registered for 36 children. We have now moved into a newly refurbished building on the campus, where we have lots of space including our own art room! We also have new gardens to plan ready for our next generation of little fun seekers.

The recent Ofsted inspection praised the childcare practices which result in "children displaying high levels of confidence and independence. The children are highly motivated and show a positive response to learning." see our latest Ofsted inspection.

The building is bright and cheerful and has wonderful gardens for the children to play and learn. We are situated near to Staunton Country Park and visit it often for walks and explorations.

The nursery is well equipped with a variety of toys, dressing up clothes, art and craft materials, sand, water etc. We have a garden cabin for nature stories and role-play.

The children have access to computers, digital cameras, photocopiers, scanners to enhance learning opportunities.
