About our Nursery
Growing Places@Staunton Park was created in 1990 within the campus of Staunton Park community school, the nursery is registered for 36 children.
The recent Ofsted inspection praised the childcare practices which result in "children displaying high levels of confidence and independence. The children are highly motivated and show a positive response to learning."
The building is bright and cheerful and has a wonderful garden for the children to play and learn. We are situated near to Staunton Country Park and visit it often for walks and explorations.
The nursery is well equipped with a variety of toys, dressing up clothes, art and craft materials, sand, water etc. We have 2 rabbits which are cared for by the children and a garden cabin for nature stories and role-play.
The children have access to computers, digital cameras, photocopiers, scanners to enhance learning opportunities.
