Welcome to our nursery

About our Nursery

Growing Places@ Mill Hill (formerly Waite End) opened in September 2001 following hard work from staff and parents of Havant Academy (formerly Staunton Park) . This bright and airy open- planned nursery is situated in between Mill Hill Primary School and Mill Hill Childrens Centre and is registered for 54 children aged from 6 months.

All children enjoy the varied equipment and resources available to them, no matter how young children are encouraged to participate in art and craft activities with lots of messy play!

Mealtimes are an important part of the day for socialising, communicating and sharing. We are fortunate to have our own cook who makes us delicious healthy meals every day. Children also participate in cooking activities, making scones or decorating biscuits for tea along with other events such as enjoying and tasting foods from around the world.

Our recent Ofsted inspection praised the nursery "The way of learning is moved forward by the children's own experiences, challenges and ideas enhanced by their environment. This allows the children to independently use tools and resources safely, thus enabling the children to use their imagination to create their own individual ideas." latest Ofsted inspection.
